Trader PhD Ag Marketing has pushed out a new update to its mobile app. The new update includes a new user interface and organizational structure for the service’s content.
Made by farmers, for farmers, the Trader PhD Mobile App is a tool that keeps farmers and ranchers informed about the latest news in the commodity markets. There is a never-ending list of market news. The Trader PhD app filters out the noise and keeps users up-to-date on what is important.
The update will improve load times, enhance usability and ease navigation. Daily ag news is streamlined into one newsfeed with tags for different commodities. All audio and video broadcasts, including Market Minute audio broadcasts, Farmer Forecast weather interviews, Special Reports and Commodity Roundups are available from one landing screen.
Market Charts are still available from Barchart at a 10-minute delay. Now, users can save charts they repeatedly reference on their personal dashboard, saving time and streamlining use. Upon sign up and from a user’s profile, users can also mark their commodity preferences.
App notifications also received an upgrade, with push notifications now able to link the recipient directly to the article referenced, rather than users having to find it themselves within the app.
The update went live on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store on Monday, March 9, 2026. Current app users and subscribers were first notified of the change when their user accounts were transferred from the pre-existing version 2.7 to the updated version 3.0.
App users do not need to download a new app, the update replaces the app already on user smartphones. If your app is not updated, visit the App Store or Play Store to manually request the update.
